The annual London Dinner of the Old Hymerians Southern Branch took place at the RAF Club, Piccadilly, on Saturday 11th February. The guests were welcomed by Martyn Green, Chairman of the Southern Branch, last year’s OHA President, Mr Nasim Sharf, who kindly stepped in for the current President Sadie Julian who was not able to attend, and the headmaster Mr David Elstone.
Over 50 Old Hymerians were in attendance which was a great achievement. A special thanks goes to Adam Greendale (featured above - 4th from right), who was instrumental in encouraging so many of his peer group to attend.
The guest of honour was Mr Hugh Pym (featured left), Health Editor for BBC News, who spoke knowledgably on the current state of our National Health System.
This was followed by a lively Q & A session. Many of the audience were medics and having first-hand experience of working in the NHS they were keen to put their points across to the guest speaker.
